MEMBER DETAILS AND TERMS AND CONDITIONS

It is important that before you join us you understand we are inviting you to be a part of a happy, healthy, productive and collaborative work place that we have carefully nurtured since 2021. As such the following terms apply and by purchasing a plan you understand and agree to and comply with the following.

DEFINITIONS

​

  • Access hours: 

    • 'Normal Access Hours' is from 7am to 7pm Monday to Friday (excluding public holidays) for:

      • Monthly Hot Desk plans, and

      • Dedicated Desk plans.

    • 'Normal Access Hours' is from 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday (excluding public holidays) for:

      • Meeting Room hire options, and

      • Hot Desk Daily and Hot Desk Weekly plans.

    • '24/7' Access is available to add to our standard Hot Desk Monthly and Dedicated Desk plans to provide 24 hours a day, 7 days a week access. See ‘Optional Add-On Services and Amenities’ below.

  • Member: Entity identified in Schedule A

  • Plan: As per plan types and rates listed on our website located at: https://www.workersguild.com.au/plans-pricing

  • The Workers Guild: Conspar Super Fund Pty Ltd trading as The Workers Guild

 

CONFIDENTIALITY

​

As this is an open plan, shared, co-working space, members are reminded to ensure that their confidential information is stored securely. The Workers Guild shall not be liable for any disclosure of your confidential information.

INTERNET & INTERNET SECURITY

​

Please ensure that your telephone and computer equipment is protected by applicable security systems. The Workers Guild will not be liable for any loss or damage due to internet or telephone scamming, security breaches or illegal access.

INTERNET DISRUPTION

​

In the event of internet disruption which is not in the control of the Workers Guild, the Workers Guild will not be liable for any loss sustained.

 

INSURANCE

 

  • During access hours The Workers Guild has Contents and Public Liability Insurance to cover the property belonging to The Workers Guild. 

  • This insurance does not extend to cover any property belonging to Members, or guests of members. Members shall ensure that any equipment or items of value which are brought into the premises of The Workers Guild are covered under their own insurances. The Workers Guild shall not be liable for any loss, theft or damage.

  • During access hours Members shall have their own workers compensation policy and public liability policy. Members shall be liable for and agree to indemnify The Workers Guild for any injury to other Members or their guests, property loss or damage, any malicious damage, or for any claim for malfunctioning or incorrectly used equipment brought into The Workers Guild by Members or their guests.

  • Members and guests shall be responsible for their own safety whilst at the premises of The Workers Guild. The Workers Guild will take all reasonable care to monitor the premises to ensure that the premises are in a clean and safe condition.

  • Members shall be instructed on the usage of all equipment available for their use during access hours. 

 

HOUSEKEEPING

 

  • Illness / CoVid: If you have symptoms please stay home and let us know!

  • Cleaning: We have a cleaner attend every 2nd Friday. However we ask that after you use kitchen, bathroom, meeting room and / or common areas that you leave them clean and tidy for the next person.

  • Kitchenette:

    • Fridge; The fridge is emptied every Friday at 5pm (please take home items you don’t want disposed of).

    • Please use the towels provided for drying dishes, cutlery etc. immediately after use. 

    • Please do not leave dishes drying in the rack.

  • Bathroom and WC:

    • Lights in the hallway leading from the kitchenette to the toilets are automatic. 

    • However please ensure the lights and / or fans of the toilets are turned off after use.

  • Turn off Power when leaving: If you are the last to leave:

    • Please ensure all blinds are closed.

    • Please check that all AC units are turned off including the meeting room (any remote control will control any unit), and

    • Please turn off all lights (switches located in the kitchenette)

    • The feature light in meeting room is on a timer so does not need to be turned on / off.

  • Security:

    • Alarm is automatic.

    • Alarm is set to disarm at 7am and re-arm at 7pm each weekday.

    • If you require access outside of these hours please get in touch prior, or book through the website

  • Locking up process; If you are the last to leave:

    • The alarm is automatic - you do not need to set the alarm.

    • On leaving, please ensure kitchen door snib is locked

    • Use your key to lock the front door and

    • Use your key to lock the front security screen.

    • Lastly please securely close the front timber gate behind you (self-locking).

  • Rubbish:

    • Recyclables; Into the silver bin at your desk, and

    • Organic waste; Into the plastic bucket in the kitchenette (this will be emptied daily).

  • Feedback process:

    • Please report any items that need replenishing, for example toilet paper, soap, etc.

    • A suggestions box is located in the kitchen for any ideas for our space 

 

PRINTING

​

The following total monthly printing allowances are included: 100 x A3 or A4 prints 

 

OPTIONAL ADD-ON SERVICES AND AMENITIES

Please get in touch to confirm whether you require any of the additional items:

 

  • Key: A deposit per key/s shall be paid prior to commencement. The deposit is $20 + GST and is returned to the Member when the key is handed to a representative of The Worker's Guild management.

  • Signage: Your company logo is able to be installed on the main signage board next to the gate at the main entry. The fee for this is a one-off payment of $320 + GST. 

  • Secure locker: Available at a fee of $10 + GST / month. A separate key deposit is applicable; the deposit is $20 + GST and is returned to the Member when the key is handed to a representative of The Worker's Guild management.

  • '24/7' Access: 24 hour / 7 days a week access is currently available on our ‘Hot Desk Monthly’ and ‘Dedicated Desk plans’. Please enquire for current rates.

 

OFFICE PROCEDURES 

 

As this is an open-plan, shared, co-working space; 

 

  • Use of the meeting room is to be booked through the website.

  • Smoking is prohibited within 10 meters of the boundary. 

  • No loud conversations - please be discrete in your conversations to respect other people's ability to focus on their work.

  • Please turn your phone ringer to low or vibrate 

  • If you need privacy to make a phone call, the meeting room may be used, unless it's occupied.

  • Please keep kitchenette, office and general common areas clean and tidy immediately after use. 

 

INVOICING, FEES, CHANGES TO MEMBER PLAN OR DETAILS AND CANCELLATIONS

 

  • Plan fees are invoiced and payable prior to confirming your booking, and receipt due prior to commencement of the Plan.

  • Written notice is required if you wish to cancel or make changes to your Plan. The minimum notice period is 30 days for monthly plans, 7 days for weekly plans, and 24 hours for daily plans and / or meeting room bookings. Where notice is not provided, or where it is not provided within these timeframes, prepayments and / or deposits may be forfeited at The Worker's Guild's discretion.

  • Please advise The Workers Guild of any changes to personal or billing details.

 

TERMINATION POLICY

 

  • The Workers Guild may, at its discretion, terminate a membership with immediate effect, if a member contravenes any section of the terms and conditions.

  • The Workers Guild may provide 30 calendar days notice in advance of their intention to terminate a member’s access.
